Winter School
Winter school "Create your Sensor"
The winter school “Create your Sensor” is organized after the first-semester studies at the University of Lorraine. The objective of the school is to make students aware of the use of sensors for the optimization of processes, machines, and information technologies to reduce their energy impact.
The school will comprise a number of seminars on sensors as well as a series of laboratory works at the Institute of Jean Lamour. The students will build a magnetic field sensor based on the use of anisotropic magnetoresistance (AMR). These practical works will be accompanied by theoretical courses in magnetism and spintronics to provide the students with the required knowledge to understand the functioning of the sensor they will realize and the skills they will have to use during the experimental sessions.
